The competition will be run during the weekend of February 25 and 26 at the Durham College in Oshawa.

L.A.C. SPARTANS 99 F.C., LONDON F.C. 98, and L.A.C. SPARTANS 97 F.C. are set to go to the 2012 Ontario Futsal Cup in Oshawa, Ontario.

These teams will be representing our London Canadian Futsal League and it will be a real good test to compare the local Futsal Program and level of competition to the other provincial areas.

While all teams look strong enough to compete, one has the advantage of having been in one Ontario Futsal Championship Final already. L.A.C. SPARTANS 99 F.C. competed at the 98 Age Division Level in 2011 where they tied 2-2 Ottawa WTS Select in the Round Robin to then find themselves again playing in the Final for the right to be crowned Champions. L.A.C. SPARTANS 99. F.C. fell short to a 4-2 lost in that Final. But, as its coach Edwin Saraccini says “with that came a lot of experience and knowledge”. The team seems to be ready for this 2012 Provincial Championship as its 2011-2012 Futsal record indicates no lost games yet recorded at the 99/98 Premier Division Level.

Also, some of the L.A.C. Spartans 97 F.C. players have the same experience having been in a 1996 Futsal Provincial Championship Final in 2010.

London F.C. 98 and L.A.C. SPARTANS 97 F.C. enjoy a very good position in the standings of their respective divisions and will be looking to improve both knowledge and skills in this upcoming Provincial Competition.

LONDON CANADIAN FUTSAL LEAGUE recognizes the effort and commitment from these teams and is proud to count with their representation in the Provincial Competition, the highest level of competition in the province and awards them already with the Title of League Champions.
