Congrats to Futsal Club Toronto and management for represent canada at the 2015 Intercontinental Championships, Team got great experience and learned same amazing futsal skills in Brazil with the top Futsal teams in the world.

Leaders Kairat take on Al Dhafra from the UAE. Futsal Club Toronto will go Head-to-Head with Misr Lelmakkasa . The two teams are the only two teams who have yet to win at game at the competition. The winner will be guarantee a spot in the final for third place on Saturday.

It has been stiff competition at this years intercontinental with powerhouse teams like Atlantico Erechim, Copa Libertadores Champions and Kairat Almaty UEFA Futsal Champions, Al Dhafra is a heavily weighted Brazilian side and Misr Lelmakkasa has more than a handful of Egyptian National Futsal Team players at its helm.

As the games progress the competition increases for FCT non the less the change-room boasts with enthusiasm and energy as this championship is a historical appearance for FCT and one of the most challenging competitions ever been faced by the Canadians, “This will only make us stronger, more knowledged and experienced players. We need this competition and can not stop here”-Coach Roy Blanche

The competition is being played in Erechim home to CER Atlantico; whom are currently tied for 1st place but fall second to Kairat Almaty on goal differentiation.

Futsal Club Toronto has been in Brazil since August 27th where the team settled into Porto Alegre for a training camp prior to the 2015 Intercontinental Futsal Club Championship being held in Erechim, Brazil just 400km from Porto Alegre.
It was a successful camp which allowed the teams to train daily and with concentration prior to the event. A friendly was played against AFUSCA a local team which plays in the Brazilian Futsal League where the team triumphed 5-3 over the local favorites.
Futsal Club Toronto plays its first match of the tournament against Al Dhafra of the United Arab Emirates at 7:00pm local time. The games will be televised through the following online portals:
